Ride at Egypt Valley Game Area 2

Went to Egypt last night before the pending rains this week. I met up with a contract model maker and we met some of his college friends.
First Traffic. Then my front tire was flat. I stored it inside the car and I had a patched tube in the tire. The patch had softened and the once pin hole became a slash in the once expensive, lightweight tube was now making its home in the trash.
Rode with Tommy and his friend. We stopped at the various stopping points to have Tommy catch up and catch his breathe. He has not ridden in a while and I understand when we say we will ride with means to wait when we can. His friend was fast. I estimate him at a 30 or 32 minute rider at Egypt Valley. He mentioned that he did the Yankee Springs TT 3 weeks ago and did it in 52 minutes. That is about the time I did it during my crazy biking everyday days.
He mentioned that there is this new trail in the Greenville area. I would like to try this out sometime. Maybe a weekend trail day. The map will be attached.
I felt good last night. I was not feeling that great yesterday. I felt a tightness or soarness in the left side of my chest. It felt like heartburn. I did not feel any shortness of breathe but I felt out of power. My legs were not as fresh as I wanted. I might have been tired from this weekend traveling to and from Cleveland to visit my folks. A lot of driving and I not sleeping in our own bed might have something to do with my ride.
Oh, I did not crash this week. The area that I took a tumble at has an altenative route made. I took that and avoided the dreaded sand pothole. I almost bit it because it still routed me to the mid section of the sandpit.
I was thinking of making the IF the Single Speed Rig. I saw a bunch of guys riding them yesterday. Some of these fellows are in their 50's and they are fast. I have heard that you can better your cardiovascular fitness by going single speed. Not too much of a investment in parts as well. I better get the IF ready.
Weather forecast says it will rain the rest of the week. So riding to work will commence next week. We save $87 dollars in gas by my commute and driving the Metro.
Untill next time keep them legs going.
